The Global Coalition on Women and AIDS can provide catalytic grants to UNAIDS country offices to help:

• raise awareness of women and AIDS issues
• ensure that women and AIDS issues figure prominently in National AIDS strategies
• ensure that women have a seat at the table in all forums that help shape the national AIDS response
• mobilize resources through National AIDS Strategies to scale up programmes for women
• support civil society partners
