CONVENING AGENCIES
FAO
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations leads international efforts to defeat hunger.
HelpAge International
A global network of not-for-profit organizations with a mission to work with and for disadvantaged older people worldwide to achieve a lasting improvement in the quality of their lives.
Global Campaign on Education
The Global Campaign for Education promotes education as a basic human right, and mobilizes public pressure on governments and the international community to fulfil their promises to provide free, compulsory public basic education for all people; in particular for children, women and all disadvantaged, deprived sections of society.
Global Campaign for Microbicides
The Global Campaign for Microbicides is a broad-based, international effort to build support among policymakers, opinion leaders, and the general public for increased investment into microbicides and other user-controlled prevention methods.

The ILO Programme on HIV/AIDS and the world of work
The ILO includes AIDS-related activities in the work of all departments and field offices, and has established a Programme on HIV/AIDS and the world of work to respond to the effects of HIV/AIDS in the world of work and to support related efforts of its tripartite constituents.

OTHERS WORKING ON GENDER AND AIDS
UN Inter-Agency Network on Women and Gender Equality
IANWGE is a network of Gender Focal Points in United Nations offices, specialized agencies, funds and programmes. It also manages WomenWatch, a central gateway to information and resources on the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women throughout the United Nations system.
UNIFEM Web Portal on Gender and HIV/AIDS
A comprehensive gender and HIV/AIDS web portal providing up-to-date information on the gender dimensions of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. The site, developed in collaboration with UNAIDS, aims to promote understanding, knowledge sharing, and action on HIV/AIDS as a gender and human rights issue.
World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts
World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts is working on projects on AIDS prevention and awareness in over 70 countries across the world, and is currently running an AIDS Badge curriculum in conjunction with UNAIDS. WAGGGS’ Mission is to enable girls and young women to develop their fullest potential as responsible citizens of the world.
